Due to its compact and slim design, even a minor repair needs to dismantle many parts and hence it can be expensive to repair after the expiration of the manufacturer warranty. Furthermore, the AIOs can not be easily upgraded to fit newer versions of hardware and you are restricted with built-in hardware specification. In comparison, tower PCs are easier to upgrade with an extra piece of RAM or a new graphics card.
