All-in-one PC in short AIO PC is one of the most favored types of computer systems for all types of works and preferred by most of the people. Its elegant and sleek design and high-resolution screen pleases the eyes and provide a smooth experience. The AIO PC also popularly known as All-in-one desktops, comprise an integrated monitor that contained other system components like Processor and motherboard in it. Monitor and Keyboard are the main visible component of hardware and makes it all in one system.

The use of an integrated monitor and elimination of separate CPU makes it compact and smaller in comparison to traditional desktops. AIO PCs efficiently handle daily to high-end work with quite processing and comparatively reduced heating issue and qualifies as a single system for all types of processing.

Although AOI PC posses many pros over the standard desktop as well as laptops, it also has some significant drawbacks. In this blog, I would attempt to clarify the pros and perfect use of this type of PC. I’ll also analyse its disadvantages which should be kept in mind while buying an All-in-one PC. It will help you in taking the decision to buy an AIO PC and clarify all questions you have related to an AIO PC.

The All-in-one PC equipped with a relatively bigger screen than laptops or traditional desktop. Moreover, it has a high-resolution screen that renders images and videos of better quality. The wider screen also helps in reducing eye strain while working for longer hours.

The All-in-one PCs are slimmer and lighter than Desktops. The screen size is also getting more sleeker every day. These s PCs take pretty less space and can easily be installed on a small table. Although the monitor of AIO PCs is getting slimmer every day, it does contains all essential hardware items to offers a smooth experience. The single Monitor and keyboard also avoid the attachment of lots of cables.

Due to the sleek ergonomics and lightweight, the AIO PCs are much easier to transport from one place to another in comparison to the standard desktop that contained numerous peripherals. In the case of moving AIO PCs, the Monitor is the only item required for some space with wireless keyboard and mouse easily adjustable in a small place.

Along with the above-mentioned pros, the AIO PCs also include standard functions of an inbuilt camera, inbuilt speakers, and USB, LAN, HDMI etc ports. Some AIO PCs also have had a built-in TV tuner and DVD drive making it a versatile device. The functionality of a wireless keyboard and mouse further contributes to a better experience.

    AIO PCs are hard to repair. Due to its compact and slim design, even a minor repair needs to dismantle many parts and hence it can be expensive to repair after the expiration of the manufacturer warranty. Furthermore, the AIOs can not be easily upgraded to fit newer versions of hardware and you are restricted with built-in hardware specification. In comparison, tower PCs are easier to upgrade with an extra piece of RAM or a new graphics card.

    3. All-in-one PCs are not suitable for high-end gaming:

    The AIO PC could not be suitable for high-end gaming which requires a lot of memory, higher processing speed and frame rates. AIO PC can easily handle mid-range games. However, the high-end gaming dissipates enough heat due to faster processing and increased utilization of resources. The compact design of AIO PC is typically not capable to handle such a high level of processing. A tower PC is recommended over AIO PCs if you want to buy a computer for high-end gaming.

    The AIO PCs are also not easily portable in comparison to a laptop. Moreover, AIO PCs have no inbuilt battery. You need to buy a UPS to avoid losing your work due to interrupted power supply.

The AIOs reduce the number of hardware components and other peripheral. It requires less space to install making it a perfect computer for daily use at home. However, it will not be a wise idea to buy AIO PCs if you frequently move and need to carry this system around. Also, such types of PCs could not be suitable if you buy it for works that render high-end processing. The AIO PCs are overall a perfect choice for people who wants to buy it for daily use and moderate business works.
